RISD Grad Show

Identity for the graduate thesis exhibition 2013 at Rhode Island School of Design. RISD is a multidisciplinary and multicultural artistic community. Identity reflects the creativity of the RISD’s graduate student community and their respective departments, as well as portraying the event as accessible and welcoming to the general public.

Shared knowledge and creative interactions are crucial to graduate education at RISD. The exhibition itself is another example of the school’s collaborative and synergistic qualities. The poster conveys the idea of the show being built—the expectation of something about to happen. The typographic treatment resembles a top view of the exhibition space with the outlined pieces of the letters representing the walls forming a network of smaller galleries.
